When I create QuickSilverHair products, I turn on music that I love, I dance, I sing and genuinely believe those are elements that are infused into my products.

I now have a manufacturer that is a woman owned business, and they hand make all the products for me.

By buying handmade products you support local, small businesses, that often are the only source of income for the person making the items.

Handmade items are important to the global economy.

Kaolin Clay (kaolinite) has been used for centuries for cosmetics:

Kaolin is a soft, fine clay that is commonly used in face masks, soaps, and makeup. It is generally well tolerated and is considered one of the gentlest clays for skin and hair.
Kaolin binds oil and impurities to its surface and gently lifts them away. The same buildup you find on your skin collects in your hair, and our hair has constant exposure to the elements. As a hair mask, kaolin helps clear excess oil, product buildup, and dullness, leaving hair feeling clean, soft, and shiny.
I blended the clay with organic cornstarch, which helps absorb oil, and a blend of essential oils for a warm scent and a clean, refreshing feel on the scalp.
Kaolin is gentle enough for dry hair when you mix it with oil and follow with conditioner, as my mixing instructions describe.

Essential Oils and Plant Based Oils used in QuickSilverHair Products:

Natural lavender oil:

Lavender is my favorite essential oil, and one I am never without. I chose it for its soft, familiar floral scent.

Natural Ginger Oil:

The use of ginger oil dates back thousands of years. It is a warm, spicy oil that gives the blend its warm scent.

Natural Rosemary Oil:

An herbal, fresh-scented oil that I added to the Scalp Oil.

Olive Derived Squalane oil:

Mother Nature’s Skin and Hair Serum known for its ability to be non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), clear oil for those worried about staining, mimics your natural skin oil, helps reduce breakage from brushing and combing, softens hair, and moisturizes hair and skin. Read More Here

I have selected containers that can either be Recycled! Reduce Waste! and/or be Repurposed!

It is important to me to be as environmentally friendly as I can be.

All ingredients, where feasible and available, are organic, fair trade, ethically sourced, or 100% natural (no harsh chemical additives).
All boxes and packing materials that product is shipped to me in are reused, or recycled.
The oil bottles are in PET plastic which is one of the most recyclable plastics.
The small amount of plastic in the treatment pump can also be recycled in most areas.
The clay bag can be reused as packing material if shredded, or cut the stand up base off and use for planting starter seeds, it can be recycled at some Targets and other grocers that recycle MYLAR bags. Find a store here: https://how2recycle.info/sdo
The bubble wrap can be reused multiple times; in fact, when possible, I have already used it a second time to ship to you.
All my labels, including on the bag, are printed with digital printers which uses less energy, produces less waste, and has a smaller carbon footprint than conventional printing technology.
The shipping envelope can be reused to ship again or for packing material.
